What does it mean exactly ? ? ? * Body Hand Washed & Dried . . . Just like it says, we only wash your ride by hand using our special Rick’s Best Vehicle Wash soap and quality specialty sponges and brushes. Hand washing is the only way to safely and thoroughly remove the dirt, grime and pollutants from your ride. Drying is the same, only by hand.
* Surface Particulates & Rail Dust Removed By Claying . . . This one is probably one of the most confusing items to our customers. In a nutshell, very tiny shards of metal are attacking your ride! How is this you ask? Well, here in the Midwest, our concrete has a very high iron content (ever wonder why our concrete has streaks of rust in it?). As you drive on the roads, very tiny pieces of this iron are kicked up and embedded deep into your ride’s paint. Every ride has it! Not convinced? The next time after you have finished washing your ride, run your fingers over the paint — especially on the front bumper, behind the wheels and the back bumper and trunk. Feel any grittiness? Look closely. Do you see very, very tiny brown specks? This is what we call ’rail dust’. This iron dust will not come off from simply washing or waxing. Using a claying process, we can safely remove this rail dust before it rusts and eats its’ way through your ride’s paint. If your ride is a daily driver, it should be clayed once a year. The result? An ultra mirror smooth paint finish that will last longer and look its best.
* One Step Cleaner & Wax Applied . . . After washing your ride, using our Cyclo buffer we will make one pass over all of the exterior paint and chrome with our Rick’s Best One Step Cleaner & Wax. This product will do a real nice job of cleaning your ride’s paint & chrome while laying down a high quality wax for protection.
* Paint Cleaned, Polished & Carnauba Wax Applied . . . This process takes your paint up to the next level. We will use our Rick’s Best Paint Precleaning Lotion and buff all of the paint using our Cyclo buffer. Our Precleaning Lotion is a mild polish that will help to remove many of the very light scratches and marks that you notice in your paint. In addition, it acts as a chemical cleaner to completely remove all of the old wax and environmental fallout from the paint. This leaves a very squeaky clean finish for our wax to adhere to. Using this process, you will find that the paint will be brighter, the wax glossier. In addition, the wax will last longer. Our second step is to apply our Rick’s Best #1 Yellow Carnauba Wax. This is an outstanding wax that will give a wet-look gloss and long lasting shine with depth.
* Paint Cleaned, Polished & Sealant Applied . . . Our best protective process that will take your ride’s paint to our highest level. We first clean your ride’s paint using our Rick’s Best Paint Precleaning Lotion as described directly above. We finish it off by applying our Rick’s Best Paint Sealant Creme. This Sealant Crème is our strongest and longest lasting product. You’ll have a brilliant shine that will even outlast our waxes.
* Paint Buffed to Remove Haze, Scuffs & Minor Scratches . . . Sometimes the paint needs a little extra help. We can buff the paint to remove many of the imperfections to help bring it back to that original look. We put forth our best effort to remove hazing, minor scratches, spotting or whatever else may be in the paint. We will consult with you beforehand and give you our professional opinion on exactly what we can do for you and your ride.
* Carpet & Fabric Upholstery Hot Shampooed. . . We use a specialized machine that contains a powerful motor and pump to inject our heated cleaning solution into the carpeting and fabric and then extract it back out with all of the dirt and grime.
*Fabric Stain Protection Applied. . . Why just clean your fabric? Protect it from future stains with our fabric stain protection service. We will apply and work in our Rick’s Best Fabric Protectant. Our water based formula works wonders to help keep your clean fabric looking that way for a long time.
* Interior Odor Removed . . . We will remove odor’s from the interior of your ride — guaranteed! In fact, if you notice the same odor coming back within 30 days, we will re-run the process for you at no additional charge. This is an odor removal process, not an odor cover-up! We’ve removed everything from cigarette smoke to even the odor from a gallon of spilled milk that sat in the car for 3 days in the middle of July. Our process usually does take about 3 to 4 days but we will remove the odor(s).
